Thank you to the Lapeer County Community Foundation, the Lapeer Optimist Club, Four County Community Foundation, Mrs. Knox, the Student Library Board, and everyone else who made the purchase of our book vending machine possible. We had a ribbon cutting ceremony today and our first students, the Cardinal High Fliers for October, were able to get a new book to keep from the vending machine. #bookvending #bookwormmachine #proudcardinal

First graders are learning all about our economy. In this activity, different groups brainstormed different Goods and Services. Collaboration is a big part of each day in first grade and these kiddos are really growing in this important area! #proudcardinal

Tuesday Mrs. Howell’s sixth graders finished learning about Latin American culture by celebrating Dia de los Muertos(Day of the Dead). This is a Mexican holiday and tradition to remember those that have passed. We spent the day learning about the different components of this day and participated in making our own ofrendas(remembrance tables) and decorated calaveras(sugar skulls). #proudcardinal
